Overview
To provide an overview of the Workplace Safety & Health Act, and in particular, the Risk Management Regulations, which all employees and management are to comply with to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
To provide an overview of the Code of Practice for Traffic Control at Work Zone under which all workers at work on roads are to adhere to, to ensure their safety from moving vehicles whilst at work.
To provide an overview on assessing risks and safe work practices for Permit to work system
Objective
It is recommended that supervisors and key management who are involved in projects on roads/near roads be conversant with the requirements of the Workplace Safety and Health Act and the Code of Practice to ensure that their staff are safe at work. This course provides the basic fundamentals for the formulation of a Permit-to-Work
Who Should Attend
Supervisors and workers who need to manage projects in their course of their work. Individuals who work on projects with LTA, PUB, National Parks Board, Singtel, SP PowerGrid, will also find this course useful.
