Overview

The Code of Practice for Traffic Control at Work Zone was recently revised and came into effect on 23 April 2007. The objective of the revisions is to improve upon existing practices and its user friendliness. Our half day workshop is specially catered to increase awareness and familiarise workers with these new revisions. It is also particularly useful for those who direct traffic, set up traffic control and worker protection devices, and perform utility works that result in partial or full closure of roads.

Course Objectives

At the end of the course, participants will be trained to use uniform control devices recognised by motorists throughout the island and in accordance with the Code of Practice. Participants will also gain a deeper understanding towards safeguarding the safety and health of coworkers and themselves.

Method of Instruction

The instructors will use discussions and hands-on practice to help participants master the information presented in the course.

Who should attend

Supervisors and workers who need to manage traffic projects in their course of their work. Individuals who work on LTA projects will also find this course useful.

Procedures in Laying of Traffic Signages
